4 things

Ok, so I am taking this blogging thing pretty slowly. I have promised someone one post a week and sometimes it will just be pictures and sometimes if I feel feisty I might add text...today is one of those days.

I absolutely love being a mom of two beautiful kids, but at times I feel overwhelmed when I think of all the things I'd like to be able to do that I haven't had as much time to do since becoming a mom. So while my Lulu has been away on her Grand Adventure I've had some time to think and put some things into perspective. To help me deal with the task of my sometimes daunting to do list, I decided to simplify it to 4 things that, at the end of day, if it's all I do (or if I just do one), I'll be happy. Here they are:
  • Do something creative
  • Do something intellectual
  • Do something practical
  • Do something physical
There is a fifth item on the list which I have done consistently, I hope, but which I felt I needed to add due to a recent family crisis. In general, it has something to do with loving your children, being a better mom than the day before and cherishing every moment of innocent youth. This is the only non-negotiable; the other four are in no particular order, and in some cases the word creative probably means artistic. I just wanted to make it more universal. And...I'm not going to lie, sometimes "something physical" will mean walking to the kitchen to eat a cookie.
